Representing a new side of Madrid, the young DJ and producer plays hard, groovy techno with plenty of modern touches

As a resident at one of Madrid’s most popular techno clubs, Mondo Disko, Alba Franch knows how to work a dancefloor. The young DJ and budding producer has helped shape a new, distinctly madrileño style of techno, true to the genre’s origins, but with a touch of playful, bold energy.

The classic, driving rhythm of hardgroove techno remains the foundation of her sets, but she also works in elements of other genres - especially trance, but you’ll also hear electro, filter house and snatches of hip-hop -  and has a knack for finding the perfect edit to hook the crowd with. A conservatory-trained pianist, she applies classical ideas of opening, building tension and then cathartic resolution to her own sets.

But make no mistake, her sessions aren’t academic exercises: she’s all about working the crowd. The kind of DJ who makes you forget that it’s only Tuesday (or Thursday), we invite you to come lose yourself in her set at Sónar 2026.
