After blowing us away with a set full of energy and personality at Sónar Lisboa last year, Clementaum was at the top of our list for Sónar 2026... and this time she’s bringing a partner in crime.
The Clyde to her Bonnie, LAZA hails from Goiás in central Brazil, but like Clementaum is now based in São Paolo. A prolific producer, he shares her love of high-impact, high-energy, percussive dance music: tribal house, guaracha, techno, raptor and of course, baile funk. The pair are long-time friends, and have already collaborated on several tracks, so their chemistry won’t be in doubt.
Of course, Clementaum is famed for her fierce stage presence, inspired by ballroom culture and her ties to the Brazilian queer community. With her handbag tucked under one arm (a habit she picked up after getting robbed while playing in the club), and a fan in the other, she’s the definition of iconic (or “iquinic” as she prefers to say). And while LAZA might not be able to match her on-stage energy (few can), he’s got enough personality of his own to be a foil for her in the booth.
This one’s going to go off at Sónar next June.
