Dance music, like so much else, moves in cycles. Underground artists constantly seek to challenge the dominant narrative - which in recent years has tended towards fast-paced, high-intensity club music. 

Spanish DJ and producer ISA is one such artist. Based in Berlin, where she runs label and club series EVOLVE, she’s devoted to the deeper, more reflective and psychedelic zones of dance music. Her mixes are dominated by rolling basslines typical of mental techno and psy-trance, plus hints of classic 90s tribal, dub techno, and IDM. Shuttling between a darkened dancefloors in the early hours of morning in Berlin, and a setting sun session on the beach in Goa, her aim is total transportation.
