La Sofy has something more DJs should have: a sense of humour. Head to her instagram and you’re greeted by a tiled graphic that describes her as ‘the civil servant of perreo’. And that’s before we get into her super-charged teenage fever-dream of a website, or mention the artist bio which describes her as ‘born between Argentina and The Sims’.

But she’s got more than just a sharp wit and taste for self-deprecation. An established resident at Razzmatazz and Salamandra, she’s learnt how to work a dancefloor the hard way, playing week in and week out. Her favourite weapons are dembow and reggaeton, but you can also count on everything from baile funk to trap and even Spanish slow jams when she’s behind the decks. Her own night Vibora acts as a platform for some of Barcelona’s most overlooked and underappreciated DJs, a place where they can hone their skills and let loose.
