AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS
British producer Lee Gamble wrote his latest album Models using AI-generated synthetic voices that sing in an almost wordless language. To bring it to life, he’s collaborating with Spanish choreographer/action artist Candela Capitán, for a special performance featuring lighting design by Jacqueline Sobiszewski, and co-produced by Sónar and Krakow’s Unsound festival. Models uses the idea of learning, mimicry and the sharing of physical signals and information to inform the narrative and overall movement, and Candela's choreography explores the dynamics of embodiment, mimicry and mechanisation. Measuring the IRL experience against that mediated via technology, the performers will stream their close ups throughout the piece via instagram live.
