An intergenerational, transatlantic back-to-back that will cover every shade of house music

Without House music, we wouldn’t have clubs, we wouldn’t have DJs, and we wouldn’t have Sónar. House might not get as much critical attention as it’s - supposedly - more sophisticated younger brother techno, but even in 2026, it’s still the foundation of dance music and club culture. Think of this back-to-back between MK - producer and DJ Marc Kinchen - and TSHA as a reminder of that fact.

The Detroit legend is one of house’s first superstars, and at Sónar 2026 he’ll be joined by one of its next superstars, rising UK producer and DJ Tsha. Active since the 90s, Kinchen is the author of some of house’s most iconic tracks, such as Burning and Always, as well as his iconic dub of Nightcrawlers’ Push The Feeling On. Still releasing new music today, he’s headlining some of the biggest stages in the world right now.

Tsha might not have the same history, but she’s a future legend in the making, with talent to burn. Growing up listening to her brother’s collection of house and garage, she’s developed her own inimitably musical, melodic style of house that’s inspired by those classic records, as well as UK garage and the Balearic vibe. Her new label and party series Jackfruit is is rooted in house’s past - think of parties where everyone’s too busy dancing to look at the DJ - but focused on the future, highlighting new artists as well as her own productions.
