Once the most sought-after producer in Spanish trap, in 2026 Baby Pantera completes his metamorphosis from beatmaker into forward-thinking club producer. His new album Desidia, due out on cult contemporary trance label Slagwerk, couldn’t sound more different from his productions for the likes of Yung Beef and Kaydy Cain.
In truth, you could hear the influence of trance - is that melancholia or is that euphoria? - in his trap productions, but Desidia - due out on April 17th - continues down the path laid out on his 2024 mini albums BCM and BCM II. Featuring tidal waves of synth, ocean-sized arpeggios, and vocals that call out from the ether, his vision of trance is both extremely current - check the collaborations with Nick León and mssngno - and true to the genre’s 90s roots.
At Sónar 2026, he’ll emerge from his chrysalis, with a brand new live show built around the record. You’ll want to be there when he reveals his final form.
